Frequently Asked Questions

WHERE DO THE TREES OFFERED ON MY ABIES COME FROM?

My Abies works only with Swiss tree producers. Your tree will come from the producer closest to you.

WHAT TYPES OF TREES ARE OFFERED ON MY ABIES?

Several species, sizes, and qualities of trees are offered depending on the availability of each producer. When you place your order, only the trees available from the producer in your region will be offered.

The most popular essence, the Nordmann, is offered by all My Abies producers.

The sizes offered range from 80 cm to 300 cm. The size is measured from the first to the last crown of branches.

All producers offer first-choice trees. Some also offer second-choice trees that have some irregularities.

WHEN CAN I HAVE MY TREE DELIVERED?

At the end of your order, you will be able to select your preferred delivery date. My Abies offers at least 1 delivery day per week in each region. Deliveries take place in the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas.

If you would like My Abies to also handle the recycling of your tree, you can select a pickup date for your tree during the first 2 weeks of January.

HOW DOES THE DELIVERY OF MY TREE WORK?

My Abies delivers the fir trees on the selected day during your order. The delivery person will be happy to drop off your tree at the location you desire at your home. In case of absence, the delivery person will leave the tree in front of your door or at the location you specified in your order.

Delivery is between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM. No more precise schedule can be given for delivery. If you are a business, you can indicate your opening hours so that the delivery takes place during that time.

HOW CAN I ORDER MY SPAIN?

Orders can only be made through the site www.myabies.ch. When placing your order, the products as well as the displayed delivery dates will depend on actual availability.

A minimum of 2 days is required between the order and the delivery of your tree. However, it is possible to reserve your tree well in advance and choose a delivery date just before Christmas.

Payment is made at the time of ordering via our secure payment partner Stripe. No payment on delivery is possible.

HOW CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

It is possible to cancel your order up to 48 hours before the chosen delivery date. To do this, simply send us an email at info@myabies.ch. The order will be refunded minus 30 CHF cancellation fee.

HOW TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR TREE?

Upon delivery, your Christmas tree will have spent several days in a net to protect it during transport. It may take 2-3 days to fully open, but feel free to press down on its branches to help it. In the first few days, all the needles caught in the net will gradually fall off, which does not mean that your tree is already dry.

To keep it fresh for as long as possible, avoid placing your tree near a heat source (fireplace, radiator, bay window). Moistening the branches and/or using a stand that holds water (Krinner stand) will help your tree stay fresh for a few more days.

WHAT TO DO IF THE TREE I RECEIVED DOES NOT PLEASE ME

If your tree does not please you, you can contact our customer service by email at info@myabies.ch within 2 days of delivery, indicating the problem and sending a photo of your tree. The My Abies team will get back to you very quickly to offer a solution.

IS MY ABIES REALLY A LOCAL SERVICE?

My Abies only works with Swiss Christmas tree producers. Additionally, you will be connected with the producer in your area to avoid your tree traveling across the country.

Delivery is carried out by local companies that have less activity in winter and are already involved in the delivery of Christmas trees.

HOW DOES MY ABIES COMPENSATE ITS PRODUCERS?

My Abies buys the fir trees from producers at a generous price compared to the rest of the market. The production of a fir tree requires 10 years of work and this work is mainly manual. It is therefore important to allow producers to live from their production without needing external assistance.
